[Happy B-day Flash Lounge!]

omg im so tired of seeing myself in flashes....

I actually didnt really create the lounge, there was a lounge way before i made it but it was locked from overspamming.. i simply brought it back and low and behold its still spammy as before.

I think its an OK thread.. it requires alot of babysitting tho.

its alright

I think that its pretty good voice acting and music selection.. im actually fine with the floating arms style and symplified animation.. i do wish that you used some small touches in the movie to show a little tlc. For instance when the character is drawing the plan on that whiteboard .. you could twean his head a little bit up and down to denote hes talking... it feels like hes an inanimate object, yet we have to accept that its him doing the talking.. felt a little lazy.

Good art but substance sort of lacking

Well the art on it was quite nice, i like how you incorporated photoshops into the animation. The style is cool too.. i like corey's proportions..

I think that the story is a bit lacking though, it maybe because its so short or something but at the end of it i didnt feel like i was at all satisfied, the episode didnt really have any meat to it. I think the setup in the credits had more substance than the actual episode.. I mean all that really happens is corey goes to heaven and is denied.. we dont really learn a whole lot about corey or why hes gone to hell to begin with.. the character dev just isnt there and the episode seems weak as a result. I think also the filters feel overdone, the depth focus technique seemed like it was used any and everywhere, even when it really had no purpose..

i dig the art but i think it needs more juice to feel like an 'episode' it doesnt feel like it could stand on its own right now.. theres no real cliffhanger.. ok so corey goes to hell.. the viewer feels no attachment to the character so that event doesnt really leave him/her hungry for more.

I really liked the beginning part, i used to throw my shoes at my door when my mom pissed me off.

I like the new camera angles youre introducing to your series.. breaks things up nicely. I also have a soft spot for hobos.

I think my one criticism would be that having blockhead go outside and inside that kids room, it made me hungry for him to not go back to his house again. When he was back home again i felt like i wanted him to go somewhere.

I too feel warmth for the brazen familiarity of hobo-kind. Women hobos scare me though. NOT SEXY.

Lovely and unusual

I enjoyed the abstract audio you used to paint your story, its a rarity to not have the usual heavy techno. I think the musical score and the setting were both unusual and refreshing.

I liked your agressive camera angle choices, i vaguely remember your early works and you've come a long way.

Your shading and linework was also quite masterful, your color palette is just lovely.

I guess if i had to provide a point of criticism, I found the gradients used in some of the scenery to be a little disconcerting, I think the very hand drawn cel shaded look of the majority of the piece is very distinctive and carries alot of personality, seeing the gradients sort of took away from the hand quality of it and made it look a little too polished. Other than that, your character dev and synch was right on.

Maybe I havent been keeping tabs but this is the first movie in ages from you.. i think i liked it. awesome sense of humor. the poo at the end was a perfect way to button it all up.

I actually really enjoyed the mood, i think the fact that the character is faceless to us is really effective.. awesome use of tweens, goes to show that they can be used effectively despite all the bad rap they get as being a noob tool

Imma have to give it a 10 based on the man boobs thing, that was claaasssic. I really enjoyed this, the styles were all different and i like the different approaches to each.
