If you cant get something shut the fuck up.

and keep trying... nobody cares that you suck.

Awesome game, i love the 80's feel to it. The music is awesome, the gameplay is addicting and sharks. Nothing else to say.

Sharp game

The gameplay and artwork are really sharp in this game, i like how even the ad-served preloader is custom. It all feels like a well thoughtout package.

I only wish that the same custom care was put into the music. The main song is so overpowered by the castle crashers franchise when they used it that it feels like a cop out compared to the rest of the pieces of the game. Surely there was *something* original in the audio portal?

Good Blast from the Past

Great stuff, the puzzles were interesting and the team up instances were refreshing and not overly heavy .. its a nice mix.

I agree with the reviewer before me in that having a speed up or just cut straight to the log scene when you are carrying bees would have been a nice touch, it got monotonous kinda.

Music was a bit loud, i didnt want to cut it off completely though because its fitting of the mood so maybe a volume slider rather than on / off switch would be nice for us lazy folks that are too lazy to just turn the speaker vol. down.

Good stuff

I managed to beat it, thanks for including me in your testing process. I think it turned out well, it ran well with all the bells and whistles and the bosses were pretty fun as well. Maybe one of the bosses could have been like a twin boss where rather than having to fight off the regular goons, it woulda been fun to have to deal with two beasts.. or maybe halfway through he splits or something. Might have added a suprise twist.

I was worried that id get to a point where id be stuck with the upgrades i made but it was a smart move to have you keep whatever points you accumulated even if you died through the level. It sort of prods you along wether you made bad choices or not during your upgrading.

Medals werent workin for me for some reason so nobody is gonna believe me when i said i beat it. hmph.

enjoyable experience

Usually graphic adventures tend to run dry after awhile, but i found the way the ui and flow of the game was laid to be very 'comfortable'. Even if youre not one that usually plays this genre of games you dont feel like the game is unresponsive. Usually its just a clickfest all over the screen with nothing happening. In this game you actually see the character interacting with the items you click on. At the beginning when you get your gun it has like its custom little animation of him getting it. Its not like the usual game where it recycles a clip of him reaching out and then the item just disappears.

All in all it feels very polished and like alot of the little things were accounted for in making it really immersive and easy to get into.

Nice stuff

Never knew puke was so entertaining.

Neat concept and the puzzles were engaging, youre really getting good at the puzzle platformer.
It lagged a bit with the backgrounds enabled, but without em it ran like a dream.

the layout of the menus was a bit disconcerting. at the beginning it says loading spewer so i sat there thinking its loading but it had actually already loaded and the gray continue down there was a button. I would make the continue pulsate or a different color so that it doesnt look like a disabled button waiting for the game to load before becoming enabled.
The door coming down was also a bit slow. This is a faster paced game and i felt the closing door with its extra bounce, took a bit too long as i was hungry to get back to puking.

Pretty good

Loved the music in this game. The rollercoaster levels were fun, and the last boss was kinda entertaining particularly at the end where the mashers have some ai on em. I think that the gameplay felt a bit unpolished, maybe it needed a few more sprites or something.

That aside, the artwork was refreshing i loved the chicken army.

Thanks. We had to keep Pico's animations pretty simple because I didn't want the anims to interfere with the code that moved the head and arms, but I get what you mean

Controls are not intuitive

The controls are my biggest gripe of the game, you get 'married' to combos and you get stuck. So in a game that relies on cat like reflexes it becomes really annoying. Once you commit to a combo youre like strapped on to a car with no breaks.

I think you can work issues like that out by having a very neutral team of beta testers put your game through its paces. You can find alot of issues and annoyances that you arent able to by letting people not familiar with the game try it out. You made the game so just using yourself as a guide is not really a realistic gaming scenario.

I think the game had potential but the controls are the bear trap.

concept was promising

I think you coulda had more fun with it, like maybe exploit how hard people find the game for example. I did like your theme song better than ours tho.

thanks!
