I liked it. Overall, I like that you really push yourself in these NATA things to experiment. I think that's the real value of this sort of competition. Its less about being the champion of all animators in the universe or whatever, its just to really test yourself and try new things with the added pressure of a brutal deadline.

As for this particular piece. I found the animation conservative. Dont know if its because the change in style or not, but I kind of like the crudeness of your earlier work. I think it feels more honest and 'human'. Which is hypocritical considering i just said how much i like the experimentation, but yea! The characters felt stiff sometimes. They were animated well, they just didnt have as much personality as I'm used to.

You have some pretty shots in there though. Pulling away to goto work. That whole bus scene with the birds disappearing and stuff. Really smart, well thoughtout shots. Good work!

Oh I kinda felt that you didnt need dialogue at all in it. It feels strange when it makes its appearance late in the movie. I think as a viewer youre already well aware of whats going on that the whole relationship with his boss, the paperwork and that conversation feels unnecessary. You already expressed the passing of time and the paperwork disappearing visually just fine. The whole no dialogue as he leaves home and as he runs into his kid again has alot of power behind it, i think the whole conversation bit slugs it up.

Really enjoyed this. The animations energy matches that of the song like a glove. The song itself is cute also. Hard to go wrong with RBF.

Kudos.

I didnt think I'd like it but it was actually pretty entertaining. I liked the different interpretations. The orange one was just a perfect way of resolving a strip where nothing really happens.

Good stuff.

Cute animation, nice work!

I enjoyed the solution to the Nata challenge concept. The ending was cute too. Would have been nice to have the lip synching sync up. I know the style is supposed to be very crude, but i think you wouldnt have lost that charm by having crisp lip sync. Fun movie

I thought it was fun. The ending was cute.

Yay! Thanks

I thought the story was cool and it does relate to elephant in the room i think. I think the elephant being the whole doing what you love vs. what society expects.

I thought the audio worked well and the animation was also good. I appreciate the experimenting but i think you dont need the 3d things. It looks awkward with your style i think. I like the crudeness of your line work and i think the 3d has too much polish for it. Particularly the bit with the coins, i think I woulda appreciated it more if they were just hand drawn and 'imperfect'. Good job, i like that you have no speaking parts. I've always enjoyed that about cartoons and i think its more difficult to get away with. Good luck

Yeah, I agree. I think I'll stick with 2D for the next one and try to go the opposite route and possibly try to draw frames on paper for a change (assuming I can find a decent way to vectorize them later. I hear Toon Boom is good for that.)

Ive had this running for about an hour now. I cant stop looking at those juicy tits.

Man that was really something. I remember seeing your stuff off and on the past couple years, but man this was really awesome. The subject matter was unusual and engaging, the backgrounds are incredible and the whole pacing is right on. Just keep being you is the best advice i can give you. As lame as that sounds..

what a faggot
