Sweeney Todd's intro is really good.
That looks quite interesting. If I've got any time I'll check that out later.
I totally agree with you about the title sequence. on NG, three things determine whether I watch a movie: the name, the icon and the first 10 seconds of animation. If those are not interesting, I usually ignore the movie.
Napoleon Dynamite's opening was awesome.
a new post, and i have nothing to say. BAH.
all i've completed in flashes ARE the title sequences.... *sigh*
hah, after leafing through the credits, i can't believe they included Danger:DIabolik. the credit sequence was basically a spirograph drawing on intense spin. in the words of a certain gold robot upon viewing "its not even ten minutes and this movie is already circling the drain"
classic
lol. i dont like some of the titling in that site. Like I never found 12 monkeys to have that interesting of titling... the pattern is nice but it really didnt do anything groundbreaking IMO.
I'm perfect in everything I do, stop criticizing me.
I think one of the most genius opening credits I've seen is from Dexter. The entire sequence looks like gruesome murderous acts but it's just an everyday morning routine. It totally exemplifies the series instantly... a serial killer who lives a normal life.
yeah the flossing where he wrapps it around his fingers is probably my favorite shot.
I tried my best to make my opening to "Outlaw pt.1" as interesting yet unobtrusive as possible. I'd say for what it is, it's a success, but I have definitely noticed how little time people spend in creating an entire package. A recent example would be LEFT 4 LOL. Granted its a simple videogame parody, but it has a black box border with an eyegouginly hideous red dotted line around the frame. Even movies like "Xin" had pretty bad openers. But I suppose now with the prospect of making money through the API, I guess you're sort of limited in what you can do. Anyways, I'll definitely check that link out because I've always been intrigued by title sequences (Catch me if You Can) and the process people go through.
kung fu panda's intro is the best
Probably The Most Boring entrance i have seen is Heroes, Some Indian going on about powers isnt Very Exciting.
Have you uploaded all the NGLDNM4 Photos Yet? The other Indian dude you meet Deepak (ddsshillion) just got a virus but he still wants to upload his shit.
Cheeers
It took me a little while to figure out how they did the Title Sequence for "Barbarella"
But then I thought...maybe she was stripping while lying down on the ground and rolling around slowly to give the impression of Zero-G.
Very Clever.
Only the French could be so Sexy and Clever with art and movies.
"Dino De Laurentiis Productions" is French isn't it?
I somehow got to Jango.com and I noticed David Bowies top played list, I saw Luis....thought Newgrounds, and I was right. David Bowies awesome.
lmao. i didnt know anyone else used that.. :3
I think a decent intro and credits count like 10% each of the style and appeal of the movie.
the credits from movies like van helsing and the mummy returns are my favorites

I have been trying to come up with a short catch animation to put at the begining of my projects using some simple geometry but everytime I make one it ends up looking either better or worse then the animation its self and because I constantly get better I constantly have to remake it, im trying to get a consistency but so far it has been hard.
Luis
can i see it?
