0 for innovation

Animation was good and all but it didnt offer anything new. Krinkels has already done what this animation offered and he executed it better. I mean even the madness characters and these bunnies have the same construction. I feel you didnt challenge yourself enough, which is a shame because theres no doubt you have a good grasp of the animation medium.
Bunnykill would have been great. but krinkels has already covered this base.

[Old: StickToons Ep1A]

Not bad

Well, I wasnt sure if I'd like this cause it was gonna be a stick movie.. but atleast you gave your sticks some sort of personality.. and you went through the trouble of adding eyes and lip synch.. well through most of the flick anyway.. the mini game at the end was a nice touch.
I think the one major thing i saw that needed improving was the sound. Either stop getting so close to the mic when you talk or edit the sound a bit in a sound editing program so that it doesnt distort when parts of it become really loud.

Storywise, I hope to see more of the other characters brought into the story.. I kind of felt like I was introduced to all these characters and I ended up seeing only one.

[Out Of Control]

good storyline

I think that your audio and your animation went well together i paticularly liked how when the girl is hit by the car the whole song changes from then on and it just works perfectly on that scene, the audio really makes you feel that somethings gone wrong.
In terms of the technical points, i think that your linework could be cleaned up. Your perspective choices were well chosen and a more delicate handling of the linework would have helped wrap this piece up nicely.

Thanks alot for the review Luis. Sometimes you just imagine an entire movie in your head while listening to a song, right? That was the case with this one. I am personally very proud of how the flashback scenes came out. The artwork isnt that good, i know. Fortunately i improved a bit on that area! Take care

Great stuff, the songs repetitive tones and the repetitiveness of the animation/theme went perfectly together. Just goes to show that you dont need to literally synch the audio with the animation to get both to work well together. I like this new style of yours, its clean and the animation equally crisp. im not sure if id change anything in this it all works well.. actually i would have a pinch more contrast in the color palette.. i know that your whole aim was to give it a soft styling but i lose some of the detail on some parts because the colors mesh so closely, you start to get bolder as you get to the city parts and thats when i think you really begin to fuck with my minds perception of space and perspective and i enjoy that immensly.

well first off that is one annoying piano solo... my computer speakers were bleeding.
Secondly, I like the voices you used but the way they were delivered were unsuccessful. Particularly that girl, could she sound any more monotonous?
I also agree to some degree with the previous reviewer.. it was piled on so thick that it lost its sentimental value.. i know you were trying to be serious or teach the world an important lesson but its so over the top that I actually found myself wanting the boys legs to snap off as hes running to her.. but no the whole story provides nothing out of the norm, its pure disney channel script and very dull.
Animation-wise, not bad. why did you make the black kid so monstrous looking? ...

Yes, luis you are correct. Just remember. this is very old, i just remade it. To me, the one thing thats important in a film is the story. I need to sit down and think about a new better serious story.

and the black kid its a long story. It was my style, go wtach CHILLIN, i used to draw them like that, it looks cool. Or the bad guys like that. It just looks cool, thats all.
well you take care. breakfast club was kool too. i saw it like 4 times in a row the first time.

good variety

I really loved the song, i never listened to zz top before.. great song.
I liked the variety of styles, its a good marker of where people are in their conquest to master flash.. The one thing i didnt like though was the menu, which is why i gave a 3 for interactivity.. the play buttons hit field was not defined and so it has annoying little gaps, and the presentation of it wasnt that interesting, color palette was a little dry. when you put together something like this take the extra time to really make all parts of it look its best. Good job everyone.

Well im not exactly sure how this could be better than adam's stuff but you the newgrounds public knows best right?..

Well the movie wasnt terrible but it wasnt as epic as people made it to be thats for sure.
The color palette is quite boring and dull.
The frame by frame itself was pretty good but you could have taken the time to draw faces on your characters, they become basically glorified stick figures and anyone can frame by frame that...
Storywise, i had no clue whats going on... one minute im looking at some trinket in her backpack the other shes jumping on missiles....
I was lost at the start.. lost in the middle.. and lost at the end. as a storyteller you've failed.

The song was also forgettable, matter of fact i would have enjoyed it more if i had forgotten to turn on my speakers... its tempo and rythms have nothing to do with the animation theres no bond, or anything to make me correlate the song with the story.

Other than THAT i suppose this movie is perfect in every way.

Entertaining

I liked this little animation, it was very stylish and you have great perspective selection. I dont think i ever found us history as entertaining as you made it seem so good job. I gotta keep my eye on you, you've definately been getting better. Anyways good job.

[part 2: synj vs horrid]

my favorite synj piece.

I was really looking forward to this piece in the aphas section, glad you managed to finish it. My favorite part was probably the little swarm of bats attack that the little yellow guy had. anyways yeah this was a great little short. You dont need me to tell you that it was animated well so i wont. but i will say good job like everyone else.

promising

Good stuff, your perspectives were interesting, especially when you kept shifting the camera to different panels during the the fight scenes. Backdrops were also very well drawn. Body proportions were a little off at times but for the most part were right on. Music fit it like a glove good choice.
I dont think you should have the disclaimer at the beginning, (that you used a mouse and not a tablet and drew it all yourself yada-yada-yada.)I think your movie is impressive enough on its own, I dont understand why artists feel they have to blow their own horn and tell us what tools they did or didnt use or how many frames they did or didnt have in their movie. who cares, we just want to be entertained, if you worked hard on it, it'll show and it does.
Once again good job, this is not my style of movie but i thuroughly enjoyed it.
