Great job everyone, the voice acting, the music, and the humor was great. I wasn't sure about this musk collab, but you guys did great

retroarcademonkey responds:

Luis you legend. Thanks so much! Glad ya liked it!

BoyPorcelain responds:

I second the comment of 'legend'. Much thanks Luis, thanks for liking all the work that went into it!

Nice work, clean animation. Near the long speech at the end the lip syching and sound are way off, not sure if that was intentional or not.

ill have to ask you how you did that fuzzy effect when the giant chythhawhatever shows up.

RGPAnims responds:

Thanks for the critique!

And for the record, I used a plugin called Boiler, which automatically shifts every vector point per keyframe to create a sense of motion. https://boiler.neocities.org/
Feel free to thank Megacharlie for it!

Cilin you brat

Snackers responds:

Who showed you this

Fun stuff, music is great also, love the little touches. Wish there was ONEEE more background to cycle through cuz i was hooked.

ChutneyGlaze responds:

Yes a snow background would be pretty cool but i am le tired. Thank you!

All of your work really nails the subtleties and observations of average life, i really enjoy anything you animate. You really work well to sell the action with facial expressions and even when it gets silly and over the top it feels right. Good work on the voice acting ladies.

redminus responds:

Aw jeez thanks Luis!!!

The dead Mick head was a nice touch. It was kind of weird watching this considering i live with these weirdos. Did you know Spazkid's room has broken mirror glass glued to the ceiling? Now you know.

ieJoMaFLo responds:

Haha wow, really puts my whole panty pillow thing into perspective.

That was fun. I think you could sprinkle in more animated bits into it to spice it up. Like maybe something as subtle as animated stink lines on smelly mark. But yeah, i enjoyed the narration. ill have to subscribe now

itsalexclark responds:

thanks for the note - I totally agree. :) This was one of my older cartoons when I was just starting out - if you hit up my youtube it will have some more animation - (especailly the video I've got coming out next week)

Fun little toon. Would be good if there was a replay button somewhere. oh nevermind it eventually drops back to the ad. (still).

The spinning of the camera in the bathroom scene felt a little unnecessary, think it could have just been a harsh cut I think. It feels distracting for it to do that as the rotation it ends up at isnt adding all that much more tension between the characters.

Minor stuff. Also i hate people that sneak a peek, and i hate even more when people try to talk to me!

Brewster responds:

Yeah I actually debated whether or not to add a replay button. There's room for it, so I'm probably gonna go back and add it after I finish typing this. I actually kinda agree with you about the camera spin. When I planned out the whole thing it was supposed to just cut like you said but I saw the opportunity to try it new so I did. I don't think it looks too bad but you're right, it wasn't necessary. Thanks for spilling your thoughts!

this is the type of man i strive to be when i am older.

SpamClamberton responds:

You're not far off it, boy

Fun little short, I guess since you wanted lip synching practice I'd give you more feedback on that. I think that you actually make greater use of eye movement and expressiveness with the brain than the human. Even though the brain doesnt even have pupils. I think the lip synch itself was fine but its only half the battle, you can do alot of expression with eye contact and eyebrow and facial expression. I kinda wished the guy had more going on as he recieved information. Like maybe when the brain is talking, the guy is more fixated on what he was doing on the computer before he was interrupted, so hes just kinda half paying attention to him and half seeing what brain wants. I found that first scene a little dry on chemistry.

Lookin forward to your next short

dylan responds:

Thanks, man; it's always great to get a legitimate review of the content.

I felt my main problem with the human was that I didn't do anything special with the voice/dialogue. As one of my first ventures into any form of voice acting, I didn't emote through him as well as I could have. I felt this really limited my options with him in the end, whereas the brain had some, relatively speaking, well done lines that allowed for greater visual expression.

I definitely liked what you said about adding in more content for he guy between lines, as his part felt a bit dry to me as well. Thanks again for the advice, I'll keep all this in mind for the next time I work on a short that has dialogue!

Interesting blurb
