[pico vs the emos]

Not bad..

I liked the black character that can zap in and out. I think that part of the movie was more interesting because it felt new. the other parts felt too similar to Mindchambers Pico Movie. Specially because you used the same soundtrack. Yeah the second half of the movie is stronger than the first half id say.

Also i'd use real fonts in the part where it has that handwritten text... i dont really see a need for it to be handwritten and it just looks rushed that way.

Wow you reallly pulled this together nice. It has the quality and length of a real show on tv. I loved it, the personalities of all the characters is really consistent with the series, great work. Prolly my favorite entry which is weird considering that i was so expecting it to be something with Pico in it.

i like these little entries where it shows the personal opinion on ng happenings.

i think the lip syching could use some touching up, i think one of the common mistakes is to try and fit a mouth movement for every sylable, with time youll get the hang of it and realize that you simply have to gloss over some parts of the vocal so that it doesnt become a jumble of mouths..

The crudeness of it is kinda appealing tho in this particular case.

Awesome. Yeah, thanks for the advice on the lipsyncing, I did keep noticing that as I went through, it looked a bit iffy in some parts. I'm glad you liked it, your animation is an inspiration to me.

Bearded Tom is a win

Really loved the end of it.. i didnt see that comin at all and Tom in that style works so well. Great work

Im kind of annoyed with people submitting entries early you kind of ruin the spirit of it. But that aside I thought this was pretty good, i think you have promising skill and an overall good eye for things. I kind of missed sound effects in this movie.. Sometimes movies sound good without em sometimes not but in this particular case i feel that adding them wouldnt have taken away anything from the track and yet added a bit more lushness to the movie. I think that with time your camera choices will become a bit more effective.. in the part where pico is dodging punches, it felt like it was too concentrated on his face.. like i kept getting this giant pico face all over the screen and it didnt really help establish how nimble he is.

I do like how you portrayed nene, im kinda biased because shes my favorite character, i wish she would have taken a greater role in the movie rather than helpless victim.

Overall nice work, some of your scenes were really sharp, some of them could use some work but overall solid piece.

yeah, sorry for entering it a day early. I couldn't find a way around submitting it a day prior or a week after, so i chose the former.

I actually wanted to put sound effects into it, but a number of factors got in the way. The file began lagging incredibly on my computer, occasionally crashing (i had 4 backup files by the end of this project), time was running short, and also, well, i forgot. heh.

for some reason i've never been able to picture Nene as a complete psycho crazy chick. I just never really picked up on that trait, or maybe i just overlooked it. If i had planned out the animation better, to where the animation was more spread out (instead of starting 1/3rd into it), then i think Nene would have played a bigger role. But it's a bit late for that now.

Thanks for the in depth review. I'll work on my camera choices and sound effects for next time :)

You kind of missed the whole point of the contest and pico day itself... the whole point is that we all turn it in on april 30th as a birthday present and mad influx of entries for Tom on his birthday...

you didnt submit this early just so that you wouldnt have to fight off all the other pico day entries who followed directions did you?.....

the movie was pretty good, i liked the part where darnell spits the grenade out and when the uberkid is surrounded.

Haha sorry no it wasn't my intention, I thought it wouldn't be a problem cuz I saw some other Pico day entries. I dont have a computer right now so I came to upload it to a friend's house (I should ge going by now hehe) just to ensure I didnt have any problems uploading it, cuz if so i would have to wait till night to fix it at work and bring it here with my friend and just preventing from things going wrong hope nobody gets pissed! No intention in spoiling pico day or something :).

that part where he steps on that crack was phenomenal. I found this movie refreshing. I think i prefer more abstract movies, it leaves more breathing room to one's own interpretation. Anywho, nice work.

this second part really ties it all together really well. I found to be more into it than the first part... i especially liked the hostel part.
